A French Dream

When Katrina called me about her wedding just 3 weeks before the ceremony, I wasn't sure if I would be able to take on her vision.

When Katrina called me about her wedding just 3 weeks before the ceremony, I wasn’t sure if I would be able to take on her vision. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to photograph the most exquisite venue, Katrina’s own styling, her blooms and that Viktor & Rolf dress.

When your client trusts you completely, trusts your own creative vision and brings in a team that aligns with your own, you know it’s meant to be.

Katrina asked me to also shoot analogue film too. I knew it would be a perfect match to capture the house dating back to 1666 when Charles II ruled. Film captures atmosphere and details like digital photographer can never do.

The day was an absolute dream. Katrina, a former Miss World model, had planned the day herself to perfection. Styling the day herself and hand drawing and writing her own stationary, the day had a deeply intimate stamp to the day.

The day was an amalgamation of French detail and filipino tradition from the French dining room for the wedding breakfast to the traditional filipino wedding ceremony pairing performed by the mothers of the couple.

A day to remember, a picture that will never fade…Katrina and Nico on film.
